These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Build Index prelaunch website. By using the site or signing up for the prelaunch list, you agree to these Terms.

The site

This is a prelaunch website. Its purpose is to describe a forthcoming publication and to collect email signups from people interested in following along. The full product (stories, atlas, Data Beta) is not yet available.

Your signup

When you sign up, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you're using your own email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit signups using other people's email addresses without their permission.
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content from the site.
• Reproduce or republish substantial portions of the site without written permission.

Intellectual property

The text, design, and source code of this site are the property of The Build Index and its owner, Jeff Orozco, except where otherwise noted. You may share short quotations with attribution.

No warranty

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties about accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose during the prelaunch phase. Roadmap items, including the Data Beta, may change.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Build Index and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
